Maria Cristina DM Carambas

Ms. Cristina Carambas is currently a senior research fellow at the Center for Economic Research, University of Bonn. She holds a doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Giessen in Germany and a master degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph in Canada. She obtained her bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines, after which she worked eight years in the Ministry of Socio-Economic Planning of the Philippines rising from economic development specialist to a supervisory position in the Agriculture Division. Her latest research involved travels and collaboration with organizations and institutions involved in organic farming and eco-labeling in Thailand, China and the Philippines.
